Driftwood Structure No8, September 2010

A hollowed-out space with a long timber post set into the stones,
encircled with a driftwood structural 'fence'. The space inside
was about two metres deep and roughly circular in shape.

Driftwood Structure No7, September 2010

I liked the idea of a sculpture that interacted with the tide. This one was built
at low tide and came alive when the sea surrounded it.

Stone Sculpture No13, September 2010

There was a flat plinth  of rock in amongst the stones and I just
started stacking stones to see what would happen and
ended up with a simple circular structure.

Clay Sculpture No1, August 2010

Three hand formed balls made out of clay carried from the
shoreline and placed in the bed of the loch. It is the symmetrical
piece to the three ball sculpture made from the mud here
and taken down to the shore.

Mud Sculpture No3, August 2010

Three hand-sized balls of mud carried down from the loch and placed
on the black rock of the shore. There was something about moving material
from one place to another. The soft mud of the loch placed with the hard
rock of the same colour on the shore near to the action of the sea.

Driftwood and Rope Sculpture No3, August 2010

When the tide comes in the waves wash against the rock and set it into
gentle motion, making the rope and the wedged timber creak like a ship.
