Welcome to the Holy Isle Artist blog. My name is Martin Davies and I was a resident volunteer on the Holy Isle, a small island off the Isle of Arran on the west coast of Scotland, during 2010. This is a record of the environmental art that I made during the year.

There was a flat plinth of rock in amongst the stones and I just started stacking stones to see what would happen and ended up with a simple circular structure.
