Welcome to the Holy Isle Artist blog. My name is Martin Davies and I was a resident volunteer on the Holy Isle, a small island off the Isle of Arran on the west coast of Scotland, during 2010. This is a record of the environmental art that I made during the year.
Moonstones ll, July 2010
A row of stones made white with lichen, placed in a line over
the black rocky foreshore. At the full moon, the high tide would
cover the black rock leaving the white stones appearing to
float.
