Welcome to the Holy Isle Artist blog. My name is Martin Davies and I was a resident volunteer on the Holy Isle, a small island off the Isle of Arran on the west coast of Scotland, during 2010. This is a record of the environmental art that I made during the year.

The ponies on the island roll on their backs on the grass or lie asleep for a while. They leave behind a coating of hair.
